gillenium This album is so ridiculously good. When I first discovered Elder Island, I spent nearly the whole day going through the discography and being blown away by all of the perfect twists and turns. The pacing of this album is really great (especially Wasteland into Fortunate!) and it has a consistency that will be difficult to top. Energizing, inspiring stuff! Favorite track: Wasteland.

Colin Every song on this album is a bit weird at first, and possibly at the end. Don't be deceived. Bookended by that weirdness (which grows on you) are a few minutes of solid sound. So solid, in fact, that I can't stop playing it.

I'm not sure how to describe the genre beyond downtempo or electronic. While the vocals are usually pale, and meld seamlessly with the beats, they occasionally do punch out into a florid volley that will get stuck in your head for hours to come. Favorite track: Kape Fear.
